    Overpowder Wad For Musket?

I'll practice a little more as-is (powder, patch, ball) until I get used to not having a rear sight), then I'll fiddle with things like over powder wad and charge size.

    Overpowder Wad For Musket?

Last Saturday, I took my .69 musket (Pedersoli Revolutionaire) back to the range and set the target at 50 yards. At first, I was pleased that I was able to hit the target each time, but then I started thinking...would an over powder wad help with accuracy? For context, the pic below was a...

    Big Bore Speed Loaders?

Outside of paper cartridges, are there any options for big bore speed loaders? I generally can't seem to find anything above 54 cal and I'm looking for .69.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

I think I'll go with the leather option. Thanks for the suggestion though.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

Pipe insulation? I'd consider it, but I'd like to keep the aesthetics as traditional as possible.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

I could always bounce back and forth between my .655 ballmould and .660 Callahan mold. Yeah, I'm just gonna start calling them Callahan molds.

My new leadslinger should be here today - Party like it's 1777

I like to know and use the proper terms for things. Beyond that, I don't really care. Call it a cure-pipe français (french pipe-cleaner) for all I care.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

The leather wrap idea is def worth trying. At least it'll look halfway decent and when it does get a tad too warm, I can set the mold down and cast something else for a little bit.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

While I understand the concept, it's not something I'm able to do at the moment. and yes, curved handles.

    Ball Moulds....Handles?

Just tried out my .660 RB mold from Larry Callahan and I really like it. Though the handles are a bit small, so it gets hot fast. Does anyone have any suggestions for any sort of handle or any ideas to prolong the time it takes to burn my hand? I have a couple of welding gloves, but those are...

    Sling with no mount.

I think that would violate a forum rule, so I'll have to decline. I think I found something on DGW.

    Sling with no mount.

How would one go about using a sling on a weapon that doesn't have the mounting rings for one?

    BallMoulds

When I got the "we got your order" email, I noticed I missed the "did you account for shrinkage?" part, so I asked if I could change the mold size from .65 to .655 and I had what amounted to a "no problem" response within the hour.

    BallMoulds

I'll take your word for it. I've never heard of Jeff Tanner....does he own BallMoulds or something?
