    Well I finally got to go and shoot both guns on Saturday,first thing I did was us my breach scraper then water .I was comparing the barrel Rob polished to the one I did and was very happy with the results.It took only six patches for each gun (12 in total ) to clean an dry and one more to wipe...

    You should check Tandy out for cow hide sides they are only 80/90 $ Canadian and are 6/7 oz just right for bags and straps .I think they call them utility sides the store I got mine at they were brown in colour ,if you look at just there regular leather your gonna pay in the 100 s for 1 side .

    I would just try a different lube as mentioned hoppers is good stuff for the range and totw s mink oil or grease is good for hunting and check them patches they well tell you what’s going on .good luck .
