    I have a woodsrunner not finished yet in plain maple but it still has some curl. Jim definitely doesn’t shortchange you on his stocks. I believe in extra fancy he states should have at least 90% curl. I do have a southern mountain rifle in extra fancy maple and it’s gorgeous. Here’s a pic of that

    Some very interesting facts. I also heard in theory that gain twist with round bottom rifling cleans easier. Not sure if I can confirm this due to not having barrel that long but seems to clean up easier. Anyone else have some thoughts?

    I’ve had a small wheeler set and have had 2 bits twist. Probably not hardened properly. Been looking for a replacement set brownells seems high quality but with a high price. Might have to pull the trigger on it anyway
