    English vs French scalping knives

Runewolf1973, Nice job on the knife. I tried to find out which side was the right side to put your makers mark. I never have gotten a definitive answer on that. It seems to be about an equal number on both sides. I put mine on the left side only because of how I pull it out of the forge and lay...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Just finished a knife sheath this morning for a knife that I completed last week. The sheath is made out of vegetable tanned cow hide and the fringe is made from split elk hide. The knife is a trapper-hunter style knife. The blade is 1095 HC steel. The bolster and pins are mild steel and the...

    Stock finish question

    Pedersoli Kentucky Pistol Kit

Pistol looks good. I have that same kit but have not started it yet. I was kind of disappointed with how barrel was attached. You came up with some great ideas. Two questions. How did you attach the inlays and how did you attach the muzzle cap on the stock. My stock ends quite a ways from the...

    New from Northern California

Just found this forum recently and sure glad I did. I've been a long time muzzleloader, trekker, hunter and participant of rendezvous. I also dabble in knife making and other accouterments. However I drifted away from the muzzleloader life for awhile. Happily I have two grandsons ages 7 and 12...
