You win. No one on this page or planet for that matter is as good as you. Shoot no one who explored and opened the west was as good or tough as you. Kit Carson, Jim Bridger, Lewis & Clark and many more explorers and MM sure could have gotten a lot more done with you around. I think that...

Ok let's get realistic here. The area you are talking about is roughly neer the Poncha Pass ( elevation 9010ft). This pass was crossed by Don Juan Baustista de Anza in 1770 for sure but the area was being explored by the Spanish since the 1500's. The highest peak in the regon, Blanca Peak...

Not quite sure what horses have to do with the thread here. Having modern footwear might be a plus but any of the other clothing would be perfectly adaptable. www.flickr.com/photos/90803536@N08/25621497220 Both my dad and I carrying GPR. I am wanting to add some more PC correct clothing...

I have also hunted in moccasins. In steep terain I spent a lot of time slipping and falling. I am too old for that. The other main problem is rain. Getting soaking wet and not being able to dry out is a bad thing. I do like the look of Spence's outfit.
