Are movie prop revolvers fully functional reproductions?

Alec Baldin big anti gun activist, had he taken one single NRA gun safety class she would be alive today. People should also hire competent armorers with years in the film industry, not appoint some twenty five year old girl and say here is a position for you. You can handle all the gunplay.

    Leading Question

Lube also reduces the risk of chain fires in a revolver. It seasons the barrel as it is heated over time. It prevents fouling and corrosion. Consistency is subjective. Also makes cleaning easier. Helps protect from moisture in high humidity and rain.

WANTED Antler, bone, or scrimshaw Bowie knife.

I only have these. I used sulfamic acid and water to create a patina on the stainless steel blade on the D guard Bowie knife to give it some age.

    Wallhangers

That is too funny! ROFL. My Hawken was stollen by the Scartlet Pimpernel and Lady Macbeth!

    GOEX PLANT

    Good to know. Thanks.

    GOEX PLANT

So I take it that Pyrodex and Triple 7 are made elsewhere and are not following suit though owned by the same people and the same bean counters won’t be looking to shut them down. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

    GOEX PLANT

So if their reasons for discontinuing Goex is over bottom line. Do you believe that they will survive on Pyrodex and Triple 7 products alone? I thought they were closing the plant entirely.

    GOEX PLANT

I predict that ball mills and sulfur sales will be on the rise soon.

    GOEX PLANT

I know this, but it is scarce as well and it is an alternative. Just putting it out there for anyone trying to get something. Hogdon makes Triple 7, Pyrodex and Goex brands. That means Black Powder and it’s substitutes are going bye bye. Only choice will be getting it from overseas or make your...

    GOEX PLANT

Tallahassee FL. Cabelas has Pyrodex and Triple 7 on the shelf. If anyone wants to buy online and ship to store or home. I bought 3 lbs of it a few minutes ago.

    GOEX PLANT

My local cabelas had 15 jars of 2F triple 7 today. Lagniappe way Tallahassee FL.

    GOEX PLANT

Yep, I was in a howitzer unit. HQ btry 1/13 FA and C btry 1/14 FA in the 1980’s and I didn’t even think about the military contracts they must have had. Seriously I doubt that the military would allow them to fail despite cutbacks in defense spending. Hense I think that there are other things...

    Recommended 777 FFFg loads

I just purchased the last 2 containers of T7 at Bass Pro Shops that they had available within 150 miles of me online last night. Everywhere else it is saying out of stock no backorder.

So you use the same measurements by volume and not weight. Correct?

    GOEX PLANT

What about fireworks? I’ll bet China would take over the plant in a heartbeat. They are buying up everything else in the US.

    GOEX PLANT

Goex had no competition really to speak of. One plant supplied the continent. I think other factors came into play besides risk assessment and bottom line. I think that it could have been feared to be a potential target or a source of supply for terrorist activities and Goex may have received a...

    Recommended 777 FFFg loads

Gotcha. Yeah I’m not trying to see how much powder I can stuff in there but making sure I can’t overdo it and have the cylinder explode on me.

    Recommended 777 FFFg loads

So max loads with higher pressures are not a concern with Triple 7?

    GOEX PLANT

Funny how the BP industry cites profit loss yet the shelves are empty. Stores decided not to order? Hazmat fees too high to ship it? Gas prices too high to haul it? Doubt it is just lack of enthusiasm. Something doesn’t add up. So the gun industry is screwed. Oh well, back to swordplay I recon.

    Recommended 777 FFFg loads

Does anyone have recommended safe 777 FFFg loads for .36 and .44 and Walker revolvers? I know it is hotter than Goex or other propellants or BP. Also I know it differs depending on the projectile. Need info for both round ball and conicals for all 3 calibers.
