Antique (Replica) Cannon Info? Polish Coat of Arms - 23"

At first my mind went to some ideas to help it. But after a moment of thought my suggestion is a nice place in the living room would be best for it. Do not recommend firing it. But it looks kind of neat and you own a replica cannon at a low cost, good luck. And I should have said welcome aboard.

My New Cannon Barrel has found a new Playmate

Guilty of playing around with the hobby machines in the basement. That block of cold roll steel that was left over from the project “My New Cannon Barrel” needed to be made into something. After all they had the same DNA.

Testing napoleon half scale I built 2 years ago. I did a build along here in the forum.

The cannon was probably much louder in person. I'm guessing the person counting down was working the camera and his voice shut down the mike from recording the cannon sound accurately. Cannon did kick slightly and maybe it could have been loaded a little hotter. This is one heck of a nice...

    Portable stand for swivel gun

I also agree, but possibly since the person firing will have hold of the handle giving support it may stay under control. Have never fired this kind of gun so not sure how a 1 inch bore would react. Would be cool to see in action.

    Portable stand for swivel gun

While this type of cannon is not my greatest like. I prefer Artillery and Naval Cannons including Mortars best. But your firing stand and or display stand looks very nice. Nice work, for sure. And it shows off well.

Being a machinist and selling your goods can be tough to do. Picking your product is very important. It is so easy to rack up the hours in making that it seems almost like your giving your time away. Making a complete cannon and carriage is time consuming. But I am sure you know that now as with...

    Help Please.

I see nothing wrong with using this mortar. Looks real nice. The wood base looks good to me also, I would take some 3/16 steel strap and have it extend 2 inches beyond trunnions and attach to base. Since you say it is made of steel and has a small chamber it sounds good with 90 grs and should...

Too many options for rifle build

You need a plan. Start with a paper and pencil and try and list what type and style rifle you want. Select a kit that is on the easier side and buy it. Then take another sheet of paper and list your steps needed. Take your time and enjoy your new job. So many people think that now it is a race...

Why not just put a price on the very nice cannon and list it for sale? No cost to list or sell on forum. Start price might be high but maybe you will get offer that would be acceptable.

    What did I buy?

The angle on the vent hole looks to new and the trunnions look suspicious. But there does seem to be some numbers on the breach just behind the vent hole. But you need to remember I am just guessing on my part. It would be nice if I was wrong. We need some more help.

Making hammers is definitely a test of your skills. In trying to understand your desire, If hammers for this gun were not available to purchase I also would want to make the replacement hammers also.
