    Help me choose a kit?

I think we have identified two different types of people on this good earth, maybe right brain left brain, who knows? But as an example of my preference to build rifles from scratch or sets (as opposed to the Kibler kit), I built Revell models as a kid. Didn't matter if it was a race car...

    Range Rods -

Nicely done, never thought of brass tube. I see it is 11/32". Where did you get the tube?

    Missed the lug

Pretty slick repair and good practice. Me, being lazy, would drill a new hole a little higher and plug the 1/16' hole in stock.

    Flintlock beauties 💂🏼

Flash hole is too high on IMG 0847! Hack job.😅 Kidding of course.

    Amazon find

I think every muzzle loading aficionado needs a bore scope. And at $79 they are well worth the expenditure. Heck, the picture quality is so good you can do your own colonoscopy

    Lancaster Build

I wouldn’t worry about the trigger yet. You are getting ahead of yourself. Do what others have said to remedy barrel and tang position. After you drill and tap for the tang bolt, then you can adjust trigger plate a little. Also, the tang will be flush with stock after properly inlet and additio...

    Chambers smooth rifle build

It appears you still have a lot of wood to remove at the nose.

    Chambers smooth rifle build

Merry Christmas Coldfingers. With no nose cap, that stock is meant to be trimmed back about 1/4” much like a Fowler. The trigger guard should be inlet and cross pinned.

SOLD Artistic Powder Horn with Hunting Scene engravings (#52)

Fantastic work. One thought, or maybe a request. This is #52. Have you thought of a thread dedicated to and chronicaling the end products? I know, and have throughly enjoyed, your threads on build methods. But a catalogue of your beautiful work would make so many members here very happy. Or you...

    Chemistry Question

I’d like to offer some help, but that seems more like a physics questions. Sorry. :p

Where did the kit come from?

Other than the added peep sight, it looks like the Chambers York. But it has double set triggers which if I recall, is not available on the York. I am looking at both the York and the Early Lancaster (both sitting in my office). My Lancaster has DS triggers, but is a bigger, heavier rifle than...
