I filed the notch deeper, and it was a success! The sear sits ~.5 - 1 mm deeper, so now full cock works again and feels secure. That being said, I’m still gonna be on the lookout for any parts (especially a tumbler) for my Dixie Blount Co lock just in case of repairs down the road.
