    Kibler lock In Chambers fowler?

In my limited experience with flintlocks, I have found the cause of all my misfires have been solely mine and not the lock.

    Kibler Fowler Update

Started putting away some cash for this. My SMR I bought already assembled and finished, so this will be my first "build" in 30 years.

    Bison Powder Horn

Waiting for the linseed oil to cure before I nail it together. Found some small brass round head nails that will be perfect. Then to make a strap and plug for the spout.

    Lead ammo ban in Wisconsin?

Ask them how they know those bald eagles consumed the lead in Wisconsin. It was probably in Canada.

    Historical load?

Made up out of whole cloth. Historic load would be weight of powder equals the diameter of the ball. 50 caliber= 50 grains of powder.

    Bison Powder Horn

The horn is cooling on the cone. I used old veggie oil. I keep a bottle of it around for projects and for starting charcoal fires. Heated it to 300F and dipped the big end of the horn in it for a minute or so, then jammed it onto the cone. It is cooling now. Once it does, I will be able...

I finally did something! I turned the cone for forming the horn. The idea is to heat the horn in vegetable oil, then force it onto the cone to make it as round as possible. Then turn the plug. I have some well seasoned walnut for the plug. I'll be going for a beehive shaped plug.

Penny For Your Thoughts? Pawn Shop Find.

Is there a signature on the barrel? Considering the shape it is in, it has to be a contemporary build.

I read about a guy feeding crows to keep them around so they chase off the hawks. Keeps the chickens safe. Ish.
