Where to discuss unmentionable old shotguns?

I have found a couple of black powder double barrel shotguns that I really like. Unfortunately they are breechloaders. Is there a good site, like this, where I could ask questions and get answers? Thanks.

    Vintage MuzzleBlasts magazines

Today, I found a bunch more issues of MuzzleBlasts magazine. Issues from 1953 thru 1983 but missing some. These two, May 1977, and March 1982 are duplicates. The first person to PM me their name & address can have them.

    Vintage MuzzleBlasts magazines

The cover price on these magazines, obviously sold on newsstands, is .20. These issues are marked volume IX so evidently MuzzleBlasts magazine publishing began in 1939. I hope to find more issues, any year.

    Vintage MuzzleBlasts magazines

I just received 10 of the 12 issues from 1948 of MuzzleBlasts. There were/are no color pics but the content is very interesting. I never expected to find any issues this old. If it is ok I will share some photos of the for sale ads in them. A Spencer carbine could be had for $22.00, a Colt 1851...

    CLOSED Muzzleloader Magazines

Ok, I guess we won't know the cost of shipping until you go to the wonderful USPS. I just rec'd about 30 magazines in a flat rate box and the cost was $17.00. Not sure how much difference there would be in 30 magazines and the 47 (I believe0 that you offer. Youwant to tell me a price...

    Etching/engraving

After recently buying my first laser engraved gun, an 1851 Navy Colt, I've paid more attention to engraved guns and have seen a few examples of acid etched(?) older guns. I wonder, when did ACID etching first start being done on firearms?

Interesting info from the Lewis and Clark expedition

I'm reading the Journal of Lewis and Clark. Haven't seen that in the book, yet. Knowing about the existence of the air rifle they carried is the reason I began the book.

    interesting site

I found an interesting page at www.oocities.org/yosemite/campground/8551/firearms.html It shows the common. and not so common I suppose, matchlock firearms thru history. Including breech loading mtchlock, revolving matchlock, and combination matchlock and wheellock guns.

    My MuzzleBlasts magazines

After buying my first issue a couple weeks ago, and getting 20 some more a couple days ago, I'm loving them. I should have been getting them years ago. Looking forward to finding more! I can hardly believe all the websites I've found due to the directory in each issue. With all the searching...

My quest to have all issues of MuzzleBlasts

Probably a good thing, you won't be mad at me for that remark. I don't need to be getting vulgar messages from more than one person.

No offense really intended, but you're the guy Forrest Gump's mom was talking about. Seriously, no offense but I couldn't resist a *** at you.
