How is this Dixie's fault? Think the package is still sitting on their loading dock? They will get involved when they need to get involved. But really, the post office loses track of a package and it is Dixie's fault.

I have a lefty, 54 lyman flinter I named patience. Got held in an atlanta sorting room for over three weeks. Called the mgr, supervisor of the sorting room, nope don't see it multiple times. Then showed up. USPS was like it will show up. It did. Named her patience.......

If not successful with that another way is take the lock off, if can remove the touchhole liner, put a patch puller, ball puller screw something on the ramrod and stick it down the barrel. If clear, flashlight will show the end of the ramrod and good to go.

Measure with your ramrod. Stick the ramrod down the barrel, mark where the ramrod ends inside the barrel, remove and place on the outside of the barrel. If the ramrod gets to the touchhole most likely empty.

I applaud your desire to reenact. My advice given your age is to work on your kit. Clothes, shoes uniform etc. Keep in mind you are 16? And will continue to grow a bunch. Go to the nssa site and search for a local unit down where you live and email them looking for guidance and mentor...
