Put the final touches on the SMR Ghetto Case today added velcro hold downs, lid strap, rubber case feet, and an accessory storage box. Project complete!

40 cal is legal for deer in Missouri and I intend on using mine for deer. I know my range will be limited to under 50 yards, but my hunt area doesn't lend for much longer shots.

I spent 33 years working for Southwest Airlines as jet fixer. Maxed out my 401k withholding from day one. I was able to retire on my 60th birthday last April. Best advice I ever got was from my dad. "Son if you can't live off 40 hours a week you aren't going to live off 60".

Stroked away on the ghetto SMR case today. Just need a few minor additions like feet on the hinge side and lid stay so that the lid folds just over center when open. Here are a few pictures. Let me say the rifle just fits. It a good goin to town ride.
