How is the revolver dismantled? Just gently drive the pins out with a brass punch maybe?

I used to like hot stuff but the old "cast iron stomach" is no more.

My nephew just brought over some potatoe pancakes. No, the potatoes weren't from the garden. Not bad for his first try. I dont mind being the guinea pig and trying out different food items.

I agree pipe tobacco has a pleasant aroma, the other varieties just flat stink.

I have always pretty much thought that the term "Horse Pistol" was referring to how it was carried and not what the target was meant to be.It appears alot believe it was to stop the horse though. I don't totally believe that to be the primary reason for a large caliber.

When comparing it to that dime it appears to be a very small gun. I couldn't quite comprehend the size earlier because hand sizes vary considerably.

What caliber is it?

I have heard people comment on it but have never seen it in writing about "horse pistols" or larger calibers being for the specific purpose of stopping a horse. Though it does make sense.

I'd say most by artillery so the large caliber of rifles wasn't that relevant, there anyway.
