Tried shot yet? I'm curious what type of pattern they throw with 5s or 6s at 25-30 yards.

I watched Chato's Land last night. They had single barrel cap guns that fired as many times as they pulled the trigger. I want one.

They finish up quickly. Take it slow and enjoy the experience.

Never weighed mine. It's a .54 in maple. I do know that everyone I hand it to grabs it and says "wow, this thing is way lighter than I thought it'd be". Then they shoulder it and that's where the real magic happens :)

That adjustable rear sight REALLY accelerated the wars end :)

Other than the steering wheel being on the wrong side, its a fine looker!

I shoot 80 grs of 3F and a PRB. I'm hear to tell you it barks LOUD, but it has not bite.

I had a jag on the end of my range rod that wouldn't come off. So I just screwed a brush into the end of the jag. Bad, bad idea. The brush shank bent and broke and wedged itself between rifling just shy of the breech end. It wasn't going anywhere. I tried sliding a tube by it to encapsulate it...

I kept the barrel and oiled up well for storage. I'm thinking some day I may cut it down, re-drill and tap the breech threads and either make a carbine or pistol of sorts.

I have killed 16 in two summers out of my yard. Never do anything more than toss the vermin in the drainage ditch. If it digs it dies, a simple rule I follow. I use a lot .22 mag ammo :)

I was a full time brush user for decades. Until I got one stuck, mostly due to a momentary lapse of brain power. Long story short. I ruined my Hawken barrel and had to pick up another from an upstanding member of this forum, thanks again Mike. I will NEVER use a brush of any make up ever again...

I just start shooting my .54 woodsrunner and wiping dirty cleaning patches on the brass. It doesn't take long to look darker. How dark you want it may change how long it takes. But, it works fine and its blotchy, right up my alley. I have some JAX I used on a half stock rifle, It worked as well...

That's a real beauty of a horn. Nice buy. I need a horn as well. I just need something to carry 2-3 charges and primes into the great northern woods. A proper priming horn may be my golden ticket.

Pretty sure the Frontier lists for less than that. Might be worth checking that out.
