Just finished some wire work on a hawk handle. Tring to get the colors to show. Silver, brass and copper

Looking for a, as cast hawk head, they have been out for awhile and I want to try casting a few copies.

Make it, cobbled together shot dripper. Well I was going to put some pics up, but can't seem to attach them this morning. Shot drippers are pretty easy to make, plenty of vids out there. Now the shot made at home is not as round as dropped from a tower, but it works well enough.

The inlay process is simple in itself. It the layout and getting the lines to "flow". There are "rules" to scroll work that make them more pleasing to the eye. For instance, I think the "curls" on the vine should be a bit more circular in the curl, more compact, but I came to this conclusion...

Not today, but over the weekend. Practicing my wire work on a new hawk handle. I am really apprehensive to start on the smoothrifle, but I am figuring out some of the skills to improve the work.

Practicing my wire inlay in preparation for doing the same on my stock. My wife laughed so hard when she saw this hammer, said why? You will never need that tiny thing. HA! The perfect thing for .025 wire, I'll show her!

Looks like a Chambers smooth rifle, same one I'm building. Definitely a wood upgrade from the standard stock.

Ok, now I am not sure what to do with the wood at the muzzle. And am I correct in thinking the trigger guard is surface mount?

Got her fixed up! Reprofiled a proper sized screw, fire blued it, just cuz I like'em that way. IIt's back together and is functioning perfect.

I have the barrel pins drilled and the lugs slotted. Well I have 3 of the 4 done and 2 cane out crooked, and the 4th is at the squared off part of the stock, and it seems it would be easier to do it later. I am going to put inlays at the pins so I can straighten them out.

Very nice! I like the simple design by the patch box. Going to do a similar design on mine, just with wire.
