Laying out lines on stock for English Lock Project V1.0

Web is too thick. Go with about 1/16 to 1/8 inch. You can notch the bottom of the barrel to make room for the front lock bolt.

    HELP!!! Kibler Fowler??? 🦆🦆🦆

Look up videos of "hammer and chisel engraving". It is very simple to do and requires hardly any tools. But it takes practice to do it well. So practice until you can get acceptable results before do any engraving on the gun. Paying someone to engrave for you is easy, but you will never get any...

countersinking tang bolt head into tang

Easy fix. Don't need to re drill anything. I did a video showing exactly how it is done. Don't have a link right now. Go to Rumble and look up 4 Bore Rifle Build #2. Bow and arrow verses Flint Guns

At least the Indians were nice enough to introduce Europeans to the joys of syphilis.😁

Bow and arrow verses Flint Guns

Disease killed about 90% to 95% of the Indians. Guns had little to do with their defeat. More Europeans were likely killed by tomahawks and ball clubs than by arrows.

    Bedford kit?

Build from a blank and you get exactly what you want. Building from a blank is actually easier than building from a kit. Barrel inletting and ramrod hole and such is nothing to worry about.

    Engraver for a patchbox?

Why not take a shot at doing it yourself? Hammer and chisel engraving is simple and requires very little for tools. Mediocre quality engraving that you do yourself is more impressive than excellent quality engraving that you paid for.
