You'll love the Slix Shot nipples, Bunk. I installed them on my Ruger NMA a few years ago and they turned it into a 100% reliable shooter with #11 caps. Neither the original nor Uncle Mike's replacement nipples shot worth a tinker's dam in that pistol, but the Slix Shots are perfection itself.

The genius you speak of was the late Ken Mollohan, a paint chemist and one of the founders of the Cast Bullet Association.

TW, I've used both "steel" (meehanite) and anodized aluminum Maxi-Ball moulds and don't have a preference when casting. However, I most certainly prefer the T/C sourced moulds over the Lymans as the latter varied quite a bit in diameter and thus weight. I.e., some cast too small to be engraved...
