I used to have an old copy of the charts. Not sure where they are now.

I am still waiting for the provenance from my friend. He said it is from Germany for sure according to his late grand father’s notes. I know nothing about them The lock fits nicely into the inletting, but why such a straight lock plate for such a curved wrist area?

I am not really sure how they were intended to be used.

Older reproduction or not, it is a cool piece. I am bidding on a similar gun, but it is a French wheellock. It is advertised as a modern reproduction. They say that the lock is function, whatever that may mean.

Opinions are always welcome. I am totally new to wheellocks. I was just wondering if there would be a reason to restock other than breakage. The last pic is the complete gun, unless it isn’t opening up. Any idea on the age of the gun? Any idea of the butt plate markings?
