    I'd go with the CVA because that is what I have in .45. That rifle takes deer. I'm pondering myself which rifle I'm to use deer hunting this weekend. They are all good rifles.

    CVA Barrel With Bolster Removed, Salvagable or Junk?

    I just replaced a drum for a CVA .50. mountaineer that was so corroded the nipple flew out when it was fired with only 40 grains. Track of the wolf sells a CVA replacement drum. I tried it today and the rifle works fine.

    .32 load help

    Picked up a .32 traditions deerhunter last month. Using a .310 rb .10 wonderlube patches . 20 gr pyrodex P. Shot several rounds with no fouling problems. I wouldnt do more than a half dozen shots without swabing.

    Took the (9 y.o) grandson to the range . He got to fire the .32 traditions we picked up at a gun show. Also a .36 1851 sheriff model. Tried out a philly derringer using a .375 rb!

    I just got one just like you got from a member. The 4-h kids are using it and they like it . 40 gr 2f and patch .440 ball. I'm thinking about using it for deer hunting.
