    Talk to your neighbors or friends that stepped out of the" light" and went "modern". there has to be a lot of traditional rifles out there not being used anymore. I brought the same subject up at work, and my co-worker had an old rifle he gave me so the grandson may start with his own gun...

    TC Hawkins 50 with pitted barrel

    I have a CVA mountianeer .50 with a rusted and pitted barrel. I was thinking about filling the barrel with CLR cleaner. did anyone ever try that product? thanks

    It's hard to beat the .45 cal

    for target, small game , and deer it's very economical and deadly when used within its capabilities. nice caliber for younger shooters and hunters.

    spit patch will freeze on the end of the muzzle in winter.

    The mountaineer I got looks like pitting in the barrel too. Well, it’s a project anyway. Hopefully it will work.
