It's not this simple of an answer but, generally speaking the heavier projectile is less affected by environmental conditions.
As an extreme example. Throw both a ping pong ball and a golf ball. Which travels better? Even assuming you can launch the ping pong ball noticeably faster. Try it...
My first was also a TC Hawken in '84. Brand new.....until I found a cap in the patch box. I was in the process of moving about 600 miles away and didn't find it until later. Best I recall it was right around 400 bucks.
Things intervened, a year later I finally got around to trying it out...
Shooting is shooting; air gun, cartridge or muzzleloaders. Only two things differ. How you load and the amount of smoke. Principles of Marksmanship don't change.
Ignore the forthcoming cloud of smoke. If you're hunting, once it clears you have one of a few things;

Quit distracting yourself by anticipation of ignition. When it goes off, it goes off. Focus on what your sight picture was if it's a misfire. If it stayed steady and true through the sequence, you are following through.
Losing the sight picture because of the smoke is fussing about something...

It's a good as YOU think it is. Play with it.
Different folks swear by, or at, GM, Ford, Dodge..... Your thoughts are based on your experience. Interesting looking piece.

I sleep better the last couple of years since the Canadian government clamped down on private ownership of anti-tank missles and 60mm mortars.
I did years ago. Contact a local instructor/examiner if it's still possible. Not up on if it's still possible. Hopefully one that doesn't believe a a SMLE mag is a prohib.
Took my RPAL by taking the test, not the full course as well (paid for full course). Only did it so they had enough...
Google up Mag Spark.
Marstar shows 209 converter but doesn't indicate thread sizes avail. I understand your Deerstalker should be 6.75 mm. What about your shorties?
