    Poor preformance

    Golf ball cannon only went poof with 20 gr. of powder. Ball went about 30 feet. Would a wad improve the shot? Maybe a wad and more powder. experience?

    Ball lube

    Many products out there for greasing the ball. Sixty some years ago my first C&P pistol was a 36 cal Navy. I used butch wax over the ball as a barrel lube. I did a great job. No fouling and it stayed in place. I would recommend it to this day. 'BANG'

    In real life Civil War what was the most ways a revolver was loaded?

    Was it powder horn and loose ball and cap carried in a pouch? Or maybe paper cartridges? Was the powder premeasured? Was a capper used? Any lubricant? Reloading a pistol must have been a good time to get shot at.

    Antique Cannon Construction - Sage Advice Needed

    Good advise here. Decide what you really want. A signal gun that only goes bang or a real one that fires a projectile. Original barrels are hard to find and are expensive. Also not as strong as the modern day barrels. So, if you want the real thing that shoots a projectile go with a modern day.
