    GOOP Lube

All thats needed now is for somebody who mistakenly uses the "wrong" GOOP to see if the "right" GOOP will clean the "wrong" GOOP out of the barrel.;)

    Another “Buried Treasure “!

Have and/or had one with the same kind of diamond pattern it was marked by Queen Cutlery. Would look for it, but, got a couple of very busy weeks about to kick off.

Chrono results for Pedersoli Blue Ridge in .54

Well, if I were a deer or such, I would'nt give a hoot about your velocity numbers, I'd be very worried however about that accuracy though.

Pedersoli Scout .32 cal Accuracy Help

YES! I have a Pedersoli Frontier in .36 that shoots good clean .350 round balls just fine, but, when I tried some .350 Hornady buck shot that had belts and deformities similar to the balls in your picture I always got wider groups with fliers.

    The did you ever thread......

Nate, Nate, Nate, I would never forget to put caps in my bag............now, I might forget to bring the bag.......... So, did you ever go to the range and after one string of shots perform a cursory cleaning losing a patch in the breech only to discover that you didn't bring a worm or screw...

    Beechwood gunstocks

Looks like Maple to me. I bought an early made CVA Mountain Rifle Kit and there was, I believe, a sticker on the packaging that said Maple stock; your's looks just like mine did.

    Mowery .45 ?

I adopted a cute little .45 yesterday. It appears to be a Mowery Gun Works, but, the only marking that I could find on her is 45 on a barrel flat near the breech. The young man I got her from stated that it was built by a man from Texas who he and his dad had bought a bunch of hand forged knives...

    Bore lights

Bobber lights made by Thill in the fishing dept. at Walmart or most sporting goods stores. With inflation they are probably about $5 now. Battery is suppose to last about 20 hours. They will drop down barrels as small as .177.

    Praise for L&R Lock Company

Earlier this month I used a JP McCoy rifle with an L&R #300 lock during my muzzle loading deer hunt. During cleanup after the hunt the lock quit holding safely at full or half cock. I sent it to L&R. They received it on the 17th; had it serviced with new parts installed by the 20th and I had it...

Filled a Deer Management Cooperator tag

So, a little after story to this hunt; besides redemption this hunt revealed another aspect of good luck; during cleanup the lock on my rifle quit holding at full cock. I suspected the triggers and thought I had solved the problem by shimming the trigger plate with a tooth pick. After the shim...

    Reloading while running?

I was thinking about this loading while running idea last week while deer hunting. I was standing in the woods in the early stages of dawn, waiting for my sights to become visable; okay, as visable as they get anymore, so semi-visable. I heard a flight of waterfowl passing overhead; I turned at...

    Pedersoli 12 gauge

My intention in mentioning Pedersoli load data was just to impart to others the fact that just clicking on and receiving are apparently over. You sometimes will find interesting information in what the company recommends for loads; for instance, I have a Frontier in .36 and their data calls for...

    Pedersoli 12 gauge

Thanks guys. I think she has chromed bores too. I'm in no hurry to divest of her, but, I'm not sure when I'd get around to shooting her. I don't have any excuses because I have some shot and wads that I got in the past year from a fellow afflicteds estate. Pray for me; maybe I'll try for some...

    Pedersoli 12 gauge

Well, I'm not sure wether I've taken her into foster care or wether this will be a full blown adoption, but she walked into our Thanksgiving weekend show on the last day and I could'nt resist. Date code indicates born in 1977. She seems to be one of Pedersoli's lighter versions. I could find no...

Filled a Deer Management Cooperator tag

On the second afternoon of our Muzzle loader season I returned to the scene of last years failure (shot a handful of white hair off the bottom of a doe at about 75 yards) and sat down. I can hardly believe that I'm going to say this, but I sat on the ground; I must have looked like Hatchet Jack...
