Anyone shooting paper cartridges in 36 & 44 caliber?

Several years ago took the plunge and ordered the Eras gone set up complete with former for both calibers and the bullet molds for both calibers. Still try it once in a while but in my situation of shooting percussion revolvers twice a week on average making the cartridges are just too time...

    Classic muzzleloader photos.

Well it’s nice to put faces to some of the user names I’ve seen in these pages. Three breach loaders and numerous revolvers but no muzzle loading long guns. Need to rectify that just so’s I can feel more acceptable. 😁 I’ll have to shop around for a flint lock. Mr Tenngun and I could pass as...

I figured I would post this here just to give a heads up to forum members

Weird story all around and reinforces the “dumb crooks” theory. Mr L didn’t have enough sense to put together what the additional numbers were. SSNs stand out due to their sequence.

LOL. Maybe he will “ rent” the mold to me. I’m just a short way up the highway in Rhode Island. I’d gladly leave a deposit. 😁😜

Thanks. I shoot several hundreds over a years time so at $44 a hundred a mold will pay for its self.

Keep hearing about these Kaido conicals. As an individual who cast all the projectiles I shoot is there a mold available for them.? I shoot a lot of 45c in black powder in the ROA. Will they work in that manner. ?

They like .457 roundballs by the way.

I joined the dry ball club today

All the more reason to have a ram rod marked with an empty barrel mark permanently engraved. 😁

I own a copy of all the basic civil war era pistols, the biggest flaw of the Remingtons is the flush, bushing less cylinder against the forcing cone mouth.. The smooth base pin of small diameter is prone to fouling created by the cylinder gap blow by. Depending on powder type and charge...

Ditto on the 1st model Dragoon I own. With a 29” inseam and no assatall to keep the belt up I’d need to put walnuts in my back pockets to keep the muzzle from dragging on the ground.

    How do you eat them

A lot of sushi these days don’t have raw sea food in them. My favorite restaurant is the Hong Kong Buffet in Cranston RI. Great sushi most is various vegetable rice varieties. A little wasabi and soy sauce and viola, no more stuffy nose. 😁

As most ROA owners may know a word of caution on the loading lever arrangement. It’s easy to have the cross bolt screw that locks the base pin in the wrong position and bend said base pin when it backs out while ramming a ball or bullet into the chamber. I’ve done it, fortunately it’s east...

    Help me spend my money

On line, Kirst Konverter or Howells, as well as most distributors of black powder guns have them. Just type in ROA conversion cylinder into you search engine. I have both in 45C and 45ACP, one of my stainless ROA’s was acquired with out a percussion cylinder so it’s out fitted with the two...

Excellent choice. Now at the risk of becoming an out cast save some coin and eventually add a conversion cylinder in either 45C or 45ACP or both. Now it’s the only revolver you will ever need for what ever task you need it for. 😁

White gravy also called white cream sauce or Bechmel Sauce, is fat, flour and milk. The fat can come from any source, butter, animal fat or vegetable oil.

SOLD Uberti Walker clone and Colt type Pistol shoulder stock.

Just fitted an 1851 Navy Pietta with a shoulder stock. The Colts Navy and Army models use a different location on the frame for the captive screw heads. Navies are part of the hammer cross bolt and have to be purchased separately and installed. Armies are lower on the frame and are usually...
