When I was younger I used these all the time, maybe it's just me but I feel an extra security using these. I never worried or covered the muzzle end but always focused on the nipple end where the powder was. Using these protectors I never had any mis-fires or problems during rain or snow hunts...

It act's as a weatherproof seal when the cap is on the nipple during hunting in wet and damp weather. After the cap is put on the nipple you slide this seal over the capped nipple. When time to shoot you leave the seal on, the material is a soft silicone.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Maybe someone can help, many years ago I used a orange color protective cap over my capped nipple as shown below. I have been searching for them but nobody seems to know if anyone sells these. Can anyone tell me if these are still available and who sells them...
