    Goex Back in Stock!

Only the dead have seen the end of war. 😞 — Attributed to Plato The Goex plant is about 30 miles from the farm. Pretty sure that they’d get excited if I went to work there and tried to Johnny Cash some lunch pails out. So, am just glad that we’re having another source up & running. Still...

    Flintlock coyotes?

In Louisiana, the only thing prohibited for hunting coyotes & pigs are WMD's. Though the ATF does get excited about use of >=20mm unmentionables but they're a bunch of unsufferable killjoys, buzz killers, and stiffs that harsh one's mellow. No one's friends. Probably compensating for being...

Brenneke slugs have the felt wad bottom. Think that they had a slug that had a wasp shaped middle with the idea that it was self stabilizing if went askew. Problem was that it would break at the middle if it encountered any type of choke. You’re essentially trying to get the unsuccessful ACW...

    What CVA rifle is this?

Kroil oil is your friend. Take a nylon brush on a cleaning rod and pour some Kroil oil into the bore. Give it a few passes to get the bore well covered. Keep this handy, you'll need it later. Get a Red Bull can and cut the top out. Put the breech end into it. Fill to cover the breech end and...

    Flintlock coyotes?

Got a Pedersoli Flintlock .32 carbine that I want to take out to trim down the coyotes on the farm. There are several large concrete&brick dumps in washes where they now have dens. Range will be point blank to about 100 feet. Will a .310” PRB be OK to dispatch a coyote? Pretty sure it will but...

    Smoothbore barrel liner

corrosion can get into the damascus and cause the barrels to delaminate (split open) which would be a catastrophic failure. There may not be any indication when this will occur. Personally, I don’t want to be on the line with a Damascus gun. Just me. Worked Baylor ER, seen enough for this life...

    Military heritage brown bess

An N-SSA trick is to use a wood rasp or grater to roughen the ball’s surface to give it some small divets similar to a golf ball to increase accuracy. One of the members of another team made a gizmo that you put a number of balls in it, close the lid, and give the crank a few turns to speed the...

    Failure :’(

I was thinking of putting the barrel in a pipe vice, cinch it down, and cut off the offending length with a pipe cutter. Side benefit would be a choke installed at the same time plus a unique reverse blunderbuss crown. :p <insert JustKiddingEmoji.gif>
