How to cut grease notches in a ‘58 Remington cylinder pin?

My 58 starts getting gritty after two cylinders, after the fourth it needs a wipe down. With grease it helps.

How to cut grease notches in a ‘58 Remington cylinder pin?

I’ve been thinking about this recently myself. I don’t think the grooves have to be to deep, I was thinking of using a corner of a triangle file to create the grooves. I haven’t landed on how many grooves I will do but am thinking maybee 6 grooves in a half inch or so.

    which gun? investarm hawken carbine?

I’d have to guess a Cherokee would fit her, especially if your hawken is to big for her. It just depends though, I know I’m picky about the feel of a rifle.

    which gun? investarm hawken carbine?

I have an investarm Bridger Hawken, essentially the same as the carbine except it has a 28” barrel vs 24”. As far as the gun goes it’s great, very accurate and not powder picky. The 15/16” barrel is heavy in a 45. I have a 45 cal TC Cherokee that is very light and would probably suit a female...
