    Not sure.. I assume he was wondering if lubricants would be cleaner than water on patches. Other than this video.....Water is all I use to wet patches & clean with. I don't use any commercial products anymore.

    How often to disassemble lock?

    I never take locks apart. Pull them from the gun, wash them in soap & water. Put the hair dryer to them & oil using fresh 10W-30 motor oil. This process usually takes 6-8 minutes on a normal day of shooting. Put back on gun & store it in the safe.

    For me: Swiss is #1....burns well and cleans the easiest. Schuetzen is good powder too. Cleans very easy too. I still have several pounds of Goex & quit using it when I discovered Swiss & Schuetzen. 50 caliber guns I use 50 grains ( 2F ) to plink & 70 grains for shooting items that are...
