Yes...I had the opportunity to shoot that fowler several times off camera. In fact....I hit the hog target with that fowler at 75 yards away. It is lightweight, has a big lock and it is fast. If I didn't already have a smoothbore, I'd definitely order one. If you get one...you won't be disappointed.

Amen brother, I agree. If anyone watches the BPMS channel very often, they know I'll try shooting about anything that's unusual and safe. I prefer the PBR too.

Probably so even though that barrel only coned about 1" in the barrel.

Video shows how little I know about shooting conicals. I didn't know to lube them, coned barrels affects accuracy, etc. I'm just an ol' round ball shooter & had the opportunity to try something different. I quickly found out conicals aren't for me. I'll stick with those ol' cool round balls too.

Roundballs verses conicals in flintlocks. The results below may surprise you.

Spent the day at our local frontier festival today. Walked the streets letting kids pet our fox & skunk & hold the flintlock rifles for pictures. Love these type of events!

I didn't catch that during the editing. A viewer mentioned it earlier this evening. THEY had a good eye. It makes sense why it sounded weird after watching it myself. Good eye my friend!

I may try the 50 yard smoothbore shooting trick... I'm not sure I can even hit the target that far away. When I get over to Friendship in a few weeks, I need to pick up some 200 yard targets to video that one....LOL
