That is exactly what I do with my factory locks. Traditions, Pedersoli, doesn't matter. I replaced the frizzen & they start working like new gun again.

That's my last running one for a while. After I did the running & reloading the long gun a few months ago, I figured this pistol stuff would be easy. I'm getting too old for easy anymore...LOL

I have no problems with Swiss or Schuetzen. Although I still have 4 lbs of the old Goex 3F, I quit using it when I discovered Swiss & Schuetzen. Both clean up much easier than Goex does.

Goex is pretty nasty...pyrodex is worse.

I've poured over 10,000 round balls of various sizes to shoot in past few years. That wouldn't have happened if I had to buy them by the box. If you only shoot a few 100 a year, buying them by the box is fine. Pouring is the only way to go if you shoot a lot.

It is a pan primer made from a 50 caliber spent shell. It was gifted to me last year at the New Years Day shoot at Friendship Indiana.
