REF: Posts # 28 and 29 above. While there is obvious evidence that they at least experimented using arrows with gonnes, it does appear that it may have been a short lived experience (?) The range and accuracy may have proven less than a large crossbow.

Period experiments shooting arrows from a gonne seem to be a natural progression from the crossbow. Rick

A suggestion for shipping barrels - especially long barrels: Shippers hate long items and round tubes in general. They tend to fall off the conveyers and have to be hand carried to their next point. And agree, damage will usually occur at the distribution centers. The heavy wall cardboard...

Hi Flint I believe .45 is "just" enough for hunting in most States. If it shoots that good on your first three tries, I would have a tough time convincing myself to enlarge the caliber. However, I understand your thinking. It would be tempting. How much does this one weigh even with the...
