Laurel Mountain Forge rust browning with humidity box?

It depends on where you live. Here in the AZ desert, I had to use a box since the humidity is so low it would take a very long time. A friend gave mea plastic box/tote. I put a bowl of water in and placed the barrel and other parts on some small fire bricks to keep them off the bottom. The...

    New tool ! Forge ! :)

I have since watched a few seasons. They are entertainment only and not to be taken very seriously. If they included things like the tempering process, it would be hours long and boring to the "home audience".

    New tool ! Forge ! :)

I started bladesmithing about the time forged in fire started (didn’t know it existed for three years). I had to build my first three forges because everyone was buying them up for stupid prices.

    Dixi Gun Works Disappoints.

A recipe for failing a business. Unfortunately, by the time they get a clue it will be too late. They should consider selling it to someone who can run it better. Crabby management usually are people with no business training or inherited the business and don't know the first thing about running it.

Loading with a Steel Range Rod

Sounds like a self proclaimed expert with an authority complex. Never ever heard of a gun being set off by a range rod. Most steel rods are plastic coated or have a brass crown insert to preserve the crown.

    Kentucky rifle rear sight questions

I did find a post where a member epoxied a small washer to the rear sight to form a kind of peep. Anyone else done this?

    Kentucky rifle rear sight questions

As period correct as possible is my concern. My other rifle is the plow horse and if I have a modern sight on it, it is less than a bother to me. but not this one.

Open Rear Sight Conversion to Peep

I thank you for posting this. You gave me the idea and information I needed to put a peep on just about anything. My eyes are in the same situation as yours. This will take care of the problem.

    Kentucky rifle rear sight questions

It is manufactured by Pedersoli. I very much enjoy shooting it except I have difficulty with the sighting picture, my eyes are not what they used to be and I wear trifocals. I have heard of the rear sight being moved forward, but cutting another dovetail into the barrel is not something I want...

SOLD REDUCED Pietta Remington New Army .44 (“1858 Remington”) $285 FREE SHIPPING

As a side hustle I'm a bladesmith, and I've made and sold many knives. And made many many sales. And one thing that does make the whole thing look sexier is if the shipping is included, or better yet say the shipping is FREE. People love the word free. Fyi: he does give the price with shipping.

    Homemade caps in revolver

Just an idea, I bought a couple extra scoops and trimmed one down to get just the right amount of mixture in the cap. As far as the instructions are concerned, I go a little "off the reservation". I stamp out the caps with two sheets of beer can, I think they work much better that way. I use my...
