NAA percussion fun *update with Remington #11 caps!

I doubt that but it can't replace the fun factor of the black powder gun.

NAA percussion fun *update with Remington #11 caps!

I also have the Super Companion and it's probably my favorite of my BP guns. Weird thing though is that I have misfires with the Remington 11's but it seems other people don't. I also wasn't aware of using #4 shot but I'll be buying some now. I use triple 7 in mine and get close to 22lr velocities.

    .225-32 tap

I'd definitely just make one from a piece of drill rod. Shouldn't take much time and you get the satisfaction of making something that works.

    Got a new toy.

They're supposed.to be though. And they hold my 3D printed number 10's.

    Number 10's.

    Got a new toy.

This one is a CVA. I believe Traditions used to make them also.

    Got a new toy.

I've been wanting one of these for a looong time but they are always out of stock or discontinued but I regularly check gunbroker to see if one pops up and finally I came across this one. I ended up getting into a bidding war with somebody else so I paid a bit more than I wanted but at least I...

    Kibler side effect?

I acknowledge that cnc has a place in society amd that it's commonly used in day to day life. I just personally think it takes less skill than what I do and don't see how anyone can get gratification from button pushing, but then again as you stated, you only care about profits so I reckon it...

    Kibler side effect?

Yeah I won't comment anymore on CNC because it tends to piss people off.

    Kibler side effect?

    Cool, I don't respect CNC.

That guy didn't show any proof of them starting at the cap end. Because they don't.

The modified loading stand works good. I only had to turn down the bullet seater in the lathe.

    New paper cartridge former

I have the 1849 pocket colt, Wells Fargo. Couldn't find a loading stand anywhere for 31 so I bought one for 36 and 44 caliber and modified it.

    Kibler side effect?

Just my humble opinion but I don't understand the hype. Muzzleloading rifles are about as simple as they come. And maybe it's just because I'm a manual machinist but heaven forbid if I ever take up cnc, I hope someone puts me out of my misery.

    New paper cartridge former

I've done alot of research on the subject and even my own testing enough to say for certain that: Chain fires don't happen from the rear of the cylinder. Ever.

    DIY caps

I was in the classified section but didn't bypass Amazon so my post was removed. But it's easier to purchase from Amazon anyhow so there's no sense in me going about it the long way.

Took all of a few minutes to make these.

It's funny how people's taste can differ so much. I can't stomach the body lines of those. Evertime I see one it reminds me of this

    DIY caps

You can find some of my previous posts about the subject, as I've gotten pretty efficient at making them and have a good process. I also sell the cups in a kit to make it even simpler. DIY Percussion Cap Cup Assembly Kit (11) https://a.co/d/76NOKEb

    Sharps failures. Suggestions?

I dont recall where I read it and if it's true but I read that reenactment caps aren't strong enough to set off actual BP charges.
