    Ten days in the ground and still alive in this heat. I may be over the hump as the high will be mid 80s and rainy next several days. Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, bell pepper and shallots. I only loss two plants.

    I don't know about tonic, I would be adding sugar and yeast to those berries. Elderberry makes a decent wine.

    First batch of sweet basil dried and chopped. Second batch in the dehydrator. I should fill my little jar today. The sweet smell of fresh basil fills my kitchen. Fresh herbs and store bought there is no comparison.

    Gardening ..again

    It was overcast and low 80's this morning so I did some fall planting. Cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, bell peppers, and tomatoes. It's still hot here but we're see how it goes. Also dehydrating some sweet basil.

    Tumbling cast round balls- process and method

    I tumble mine in a cheap harbor freight rock tumbler that i also use to make BP. 1/2 hour maybe , just the lead balls. Comes out shiny, no sprue, and dimpled like a golf ball. Is it nessaceary, probably not. But so is alot of other things. I do because I can and I find it's shoots very well...
