    Fly Removal?

If you have set triggers you will have to keep the fly. Check to make sure the fly is not in backwards if it can be put in backwards. Larry

Anyone have hearing aid feed back using hearing protection muffs??

The ones I have are non electric. The issue (I think) is the hearing aids don't like the cover up. When I just hold my HAs in my hand to place them in the charger they squeal like crazy. (feed back) Larry

    Trigger guard jig

Do what you want, but sounds like a waste of money to me. I have done file work on trigger guards for years. I either clamp the casting tabs and or the tabs that hold the TG in the stock. If that don't work heavy leather slipped in between the jaws works just fine. Larry

I see many variations of RB loads to shoot a 62 cal smoothbore. What works best for you to obtain the most accurate shooting? Thanks in advance Larry

When you want a photo posted, just click the Attach file button and then your photo files should show up on your phone or PC. Select the photo you want and then click the upload button on the lower right. Now, (if I understand your post) tell me how a 5/16 inch hardened drill bit can be bored...

Newly discovered problem with the GPR

Don't know about factory but I like to drill mine a little deeper. A longer rod gives more room for the fingers. Respectfully, never assume something that you have no idea what a factory did. Check what you have first. Not criticism, just a suggestion to help in the future. Larry

My new smoothbore was a slobbered up mess after it's first day at the range!

I have never shot a smoothbore with ball before yesterday. My new long gun is a 62 cal flintlock, with a Ken Netting 48" round tapered barrel. 60 gr of Swiss 2F and about 50 rounds for the day. (.600 rb) (not a real humid day) I tried patched, .010 and .013, & bare ball with overshot card...

Remember this Davy Crockett movie scene?

My guess: if Grizz or Indians were comming at ya, measure would be a non usable item at that moment. Larry

Remember this Davy Crockett movie scene?

Funny how Davy could stack them round balls and they looked untouched. (LOL). I loved that movie scene when I was kid. Larry

Help with removing front sight T/C Hawken

If you want to tap it out make sure the barrel is rested against a heavy solid object. (something like a vice or anvil) Place a leather between the solid object and the barrel so you don't marr the barrel. Use a brass punch that fits the sight base. Use a 2 lb or better hammer. Make sure...

Very stuck minie ball, tried everything having to pull the breech plug

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time especially when you are excited about this new experience. First of all JB weld is good stuff but will not keep a ball puller on your rod. The puller needs to be JB welded AND cross pinned through the puller and rod. Another suggestion is to...
