    Naming Your Rifle?

My guns were named but not by me. A man on castboolits. The Hot Rod Hawken and Hot Rod Renegade's.

    Plugged Bore

Harry and I have spoken. I believe he will be sending me the barrel to remove the obstruction. I have resources to use a very high pressure grease gun if mine doesn't work. I'm confident I can get it out. With his permission I will document the procedure and make a video. I will also use my...

Is this muzzle crown good to go ?

If it bothers you fix it. I have a rifle that was shooting awful. It's a very collectable rifle. Very, very collectable. After struggling with accuracy issues I finally said it's not worth shooting as is. I could visibly see a nick in the crown. I used a drill, a brass carriage bolt and...

    REAL bullets

I sell bullets from time to time. My advice is if you do it get a lead hardness tester if you are using lead that is not certified. If you are buying certified lead perfect. If you use scrounge lead, lead from pipes, or flashing, xray, or wheel weight. You will need to make sure they are...

The thing that makes me think the grease woukd work is he tried shooting it and co2. If those didn't leak I think the grease would work fine.

    Plugged Bore

I agree that grease bypassing the bullet would be the issue for removing it with grease. If no over powder wad was used it could be an issue.

I would try the co2 👍👍 I understood you and agree.

    Plugged Bore

As a recap for those that didn't see his attempts. The OP said the bullet is stuck. He has a ram rod and bullet puller broken off in the barrel. He tried a co2 bullet remover He tried putting powder under the nipple. The rifle was at a gunsmith for over 2 months...

I have no words. Clearly you must have easily replaced guns. I would never abuse my guns like that. Shoot it with a string🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Plugged Bore

I wouldn't do it. I would never recommend it. But I also have rifles that I really like and replacing them would be very difficult. Maybe if I had a cva I might do it just to see the sparks of the rifling being ground off by the puller.

He tried to shoot it out and it didn't budge. While some bullets can be blown out. A compressor just doesn't have the horsepower in this case.

    Plugged Bore

The projectile is stuck. The rod is broke off and extractor is still in the projectile. Why would a person want to risk damaging the gun? Why make the situation potentially worse?

    Plugged Bore

Did you read the part that there is a broken rod and a ball screw attached? Shooting that out is a horrible idea.

Favorite Load for your TC Hawken .50 Cal

I don't know if you're thinking of me or not. Like was said you could be also thinking of Lewis. I don't shoot much over 300 yards with my 50's using a paper patched Lee 500S&W bullet. My son and I practice shooting across canyons at Rock Chucks, and at 8000 foot elevation to keep on top of...
