    Specific jag for loading?

    I say — do not use a button jag, they will catch the patch in a short start or full depth seating. The cleaning jags tapered body from the jag to the end screwed to the end of your field rod gives relief for this to not occur. I’ve never read or been told this, but 30 years of front stuffing...

    At 50 yds, I’d try 40-45 gr, at 100 yds 60-70 grains. Check your patches, make sure you’re not burning thru the material. Establish and repeat your sight picture. Put a bright POA on your target to insure consistent aiming point. If you’re casting your own ball, sprue up, if swaged shouldn't...

    Where to find 1mm or .037 flat spring steel

    A newby I met last year had the same spring break. He made one from a paper clamp, black metal and chrome handles. Works well, I was impressed with his repurposing.

    MAG-SPARK™

    Just went on Midway USA, 209 primers out of stock most brands and they’re getting as expensive as #11 when you find them. Glad I stocked up when I recognized the coming shortage. I’d buy one to hunt with, but not to use in BP Rendevous or compition.

    February Postal Match Target

    Bench shot. Patch and lube do matter. Got lazy and bought some prelubed BoreButter .015” patches. .490, 40 grains Schutzen . Shot 4 times, top left and top center. Then went to .017” material, 20% Dawn. Only scored 40 but last 6 shoots touching or darn near. Hope March brings some big honkin...
