    Advice on touch hole liner

First, are you having trouble with hang fire or slow fire? If you were to take much off of the plug face, then you would probably not have good contact with the face and the shoulder inside the barrel. That would cause problems with cleaning and probably firing problems as well as probably...

I have the below TC 31" long synthetic ram rods for sale. There are 10 of them total and all are in the TC sealed package and are brand new. These are easy to alter the length by lightly heating the steel end, removing it - cut and taper to your desired length and epoxy the end back on or you...

SOLD Thompson Center Seneca 36 Caliber w/ documented Douglas Barrel - Possible Trades Added

More pictures. The letter in the bottom picture was found on a collectors sight and I do not know who the author was, but I have found it to be factual. This rifle's S/N places it well below the cut off for Douglas Manf. barrels. Internet lore concerning the stamps on the bottom of the...

    New member with a problem

How often do you replace the nipple ?

I bought a pin gauge set just to document and compare wear on nipple holes. I build, shoot and compete quite a lot and want the best equipment I can get. Here is what I have found shooting normal match type loads which are basically volume grains that are around caliber size and up to 10-15...

FOR SALE Thompson Center Cleland Match Rifle and Factory Box - Modified Trade

This Cleland is still available. I especially need a flintlock Pennsylvania Hunter w/o the QLA or maybe even a very good untouched condition flintlock Renegade in 50 caliber. I will allow a good partial trade value towards this Cleland.

    cap lock work

I really am trying to help you. Pictures of the rifle will help ID what model it is. Those locks are barely able to function correctly even on good days. When you see a properly built lock, you will understand. I understand you want to have the most economical approach, but you are about to...

    cap lock work

You will get a different kind of lock from L&R, much better built than the one you have. Don't worry about the number of holes etc.., the L&R locks are different internally and have have more parts. L&R is not going to work on your lock. It probably is just dried grease or worn parts, but you...

    cap lock work

May I recommend that you go to the L&R web site and see if they have an RPL (replacement) lock for your rifle. You will be much better off going that route.
