    Thompson Center Bought from S&W

Would love to see them build a plains rifle equal to or better in quality than the Pedersoli Rocky Mountain and Missouri Hawken rifles. R&D three or four models the customer base historically favors and make them the best, just shy of a custom build.

    Thompson Center Bought from S&W

A local gun shop employee told me that imports like Pedersoli are subject to large import tariffs. If true, this may explain some of the large price increases we’ve seen.

    Thompson Center Bought from S&W

Haven’t seen this on the forum yet today. My apologies if this is a duplicate post. Looks like Gregg Ritz has purchased T/C from Smith & Wesson. Looking forward to seeing new rifles from T/C.

    Pedersoli Rust Brown Barrel?

Thank you for the replies. Examples posted here show some models are def having problems with the type of finish applied to barrels. I emailed ([email protected]) the importer and asked about the browning finish on the Rocky Mtn and Missouri . Coating or rust bluing process… and they said. “ The...

    Pedersoli Rust Brown Barrel?

This may explain why we’re hearing about a new coating being used. Not a great option when trying to have an as accurate as possible replica rifle.

    Pedersoli Rust Brown Barrel?

This week I’ve read three posts saying the Rust Brown Barrel finish on the Pedersoli Rocky Mtn and Missouri rifles is a spray on coating of some type. One said it was Cerakote another wrote that he had got Loctite on the barrel and the coating softened and came off. Anyone definitely know if...

    Is FFFG the Cause

Not worried about but because it’s been discussed on the forum a lot I’m wondering what it indicates. Get everything right and maybe distance accuracy will be better. Every ball is a tough start, takes some serious 🥊 with the round ball starter. Heard about just hand pressing in the ball, not...

Hawken Rifles, What's All The Hoopla?!

Well there ya go. I’ll work on tightening up these groups. Three through the same hole yesterday with my TC .50 and std sights.🫡

    Is FFFG the Cause

Thanks, I’m shooting a .490 ball and I think the patches are .015. But could be .018.

    Is FFFG the Cause

Been working on sighting in my TC Hawken. Accuracy is good with 70gr of 3F Triple 7. But the patches are looking pretty poor. Burned through and very frayed. Patches are pre-lube pillow ticking. Thinking the cause may be the increased burn rate of the 3F. Good assumption or ?

Hawken Rifles, What's All The Hoopla?!

Yes I realize this thread is two years old but maybe this will get read. Question: Why would Pedersoli rifles, specifically the Missouri and Rocky Mountain Hawken not meet the clubs standard? Made in Italy or design?

Breech plug removal. Jag and cloth stuck in barrel

Have you seen this CO2 pressure system ? It attaches at the nipple and the CO2 blasts the obstruction from the barrel. There’s one or two YouTube vids showing how it works on a patched rb. https://rmcoxyoke.com/product/b-i-d-kit-2/

    Suggestions—> Broken Screw

Thank you all for the ideas. What worked was drilling a very small hole right on the edge of the slot. The brass was soft enough where the bit stayed in place. Enlarged it and then a #1 EZ Out extractor backed the screw easily. No collateral damage. 👍🏽 Thanks again for the assistance.
