    Hello From York Co. PA

I have pals in Thomasville, and recently had a lock tuned by Cabin Creek in Hallam! :thumb:

    Hello from PA

I've ordered at least three inter-library loans for books and videos related to the F&I War; each one came from the Pittsburgh area! No surprise, I guess!

    Bullet moulds

I have a new furnace, and will be casting some Minies soon, as a pal and I are getting into more Minie shooting lately. I have about 3 diff. types Minie moulds, incl. .54, ash-can, etc. Some I got at small gun show where a woman was dissapating husband's stuff after his passing. Paid very...

    Blanks Harvested for Black Powder

Interesting! I don't see me getting $50/box though, for 'em. If it won't fit, no one that I ever see at a show would want them. Great to know, thanks!!

    Bullet moulds

Some simply don't want to deal with the melting, etc. Too much work/messy. Others love using the old-school method like the pioneers did, over the campfire one at a time! The pre-made ones with no evidence of a sprue are neat, they're swaged.

    Blanks Harvested for Black Powder

Had two boxes of 50 each, .38 cal. blanks from the 40's or even before; they were Win., marked .38 S&W but wouldn't actually fit in a .38 revolver; too fat! Maybe for a specific blank gun. Anyway, I popped the cardboard wadding out of each one, and harvested just over 2 oz. of nice 4F...

    Hopkins & Allen underhammer pistol.

I gotta get one! Had one of the plastic-grip ones many years ago; want one just like that! By 'that', I mean the wood handled one shown.

    Hopkins & Allen underhammer pistol.

I'm up for one of those; you really shouldn't have to "mallet" anything! They're fun!

Strange Day for Me in the Woods.

In the woods, it's good to have an un-mentionable along for protection against un-mentionably-behaved humans!

    Ultra-Hi Miroku Japan

Miroku makes the highest quality guns imaginable for the Browning Co., etc. Not all their products are that high, but this little pistol is neat-o! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Japanese guns like the M1861 Springfield replica of a couple decades back are highly desirable. The good photo you posted...

    Hello from PA

I'm SE, too; the Western part of PA seems so far away, it's almost like another country! But then, I am a bit of a home-body! Great state to be in gun-wise.

    Southern pistols

There was a thought a while back that many older craftsmen at Pedersoli and others, left and never came back after the covid shutdown. The cost of overseas shipping, monetary exchange rates, labor costs in Italy, all add up. We should be grateful for the companies still making our beloved stuff!

Pedersoli announce a .54cal 'Hawken target rifle...

Yeah, mind puts on a little weight, too! I have an old Jack Garner SMR .45 flint that is light as a feather!

Pedersoli announce a .54cal 'Hawken target rifle...

Not a lot. Kibs makes specific types; Peder has lots of military stuff. Kib's genius is in engineering CNC with authenticity, coupled with easy assembly, a winning combination. Not to mention great service, reasonable price for what you get, and continuing innovation, e.g., the carving.

    Still reading print media?

Many have commented on the flood of plastic pistols; I like all types so I get many magazines.
