Ok thanks for the comments. I didn't think about a replacement lock.:doh: It does not have the verticle lines like the L and R picture shows. I will have to pull it and see what is on the back side and get back to you.

I just purchased a GPH from a member on this site which is a beautiful gun. I noticed the lock plate was smooth and flat. My other GPRs have some scrolling cast into them. Is this a newer lock design or what Lyman put on GPH's. I am anxious to get out and see how much better I can do with the...

I have not other than 2 buddies that I have talked in to muzzleloader for deer. Though they bought inlines. As my GPR flint 54 was the only game getter I may get them converted yet.

Hi all; Just found this site. Looks like good folks here and I would like to learn much from you all. My experience is a few years hunting with gpr 54 cal and some with a Switch barrel 54/12ga. I do enjoy learning from the talented posters.
