I don't know what to say, except let's all pray for our huntin' buddy Ed.
"...and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up..."
James 5:15
I saw it on a huge scale when I worked as a young man at Arnold AFB. A day or 2 after the season opened, giant herds of them would jump the fenced perimeters into the no-hunting zones in the main parts of the base. End of the season and they scrammed back en masse.
@snakebit , Yep. deer are like Ed's squirrels. Spook 'em w/hunting pressure and they vamoose. Around here when the season starts they see hunters and they move out of the outlying areas into city neighborhood green spaces where they know they wont get shot at. This herd hides in the woods...
Like we discussed back aways, I hate the orange crap, but I've been shot at on my own private property when I wasn't wearing it. I need all the help I can get.
@IanH , please elaborate. Are you saying Jim's product is re-packaged "Waterlox"? If so, which Waterlox, is that good, bad, etc. I'm only vaguely familiar w/Waterlox as a brand.
My old Dad would use that on our hay fields, also. Lush green hay when applied that year, especially on the bermuda grass. Obvious inferior hay when not.
People in concrete cities, insulated from traditional rural and farming lifestyles, become over sensitive to the organic odors. The gut...
Are you saying Permalyn is just a poly-u spar varnish repackaged? Or are you saying it's a usable substitute?
@IanH , what brand to you recommend, and can you put a top coat of Tried & True Varnish Oil over it after you've cut it back?
I don't know what's up with LMF and at this point I don't care anymore, I just need some Permalyn Sealer. Since the national stock is depleted with no re-stocking on the horizon, is there a mixture of readily available stuff that can replicate it?
