    I think you're right that part of the takeaway of this is maintenance but not the most important the most important as far as this forum is concerned is the fact that the metal in the manufacturing process of the India made guns is every bit as good as many of the commercially available products

    Brasso definitely has some ammonia in it many brass cleaning products do since ammonia works so well I use straight up ammonia from the grocery store on all my brass whether it's modern Firearms or black powder it works great

    I like that survey that someone did a couple of months ago it found half of the members owned India guns and enjoyed shooting them and the other half didn't own had no experience and would not think of owning one and we're never going to change those people which is fine shoot what you enjoy...

    I think when you say a manufacturer will stand behind their products that's a wide swath I'm sure Jim Kibler would stand behind his workmanship but I doubt if a European manufacturer stand behind theirs in the way you speak of my mom and dad bought a Sealy Posturepedic mattress many years ago...

    Corn meal - At our last muzzle loading trap shoot one said he was using corn meal instead of cushion wads. It seemed to work.

    Yankee from Boston we use maypo or wheatina even in reduced smokeless loads this has been a stndby for years
