    Replacement Frizzen

If I'd known that before and knew where to have it done...... Oh well, this one will work until I get around to replacing the stock and lock. If it ever happens again I'll know to ask. Thanks.

    Replacement Frizzen

If it can be done quite cheaply then yes but if not it's really not worth it, these long arms don't fetch high prices.

    Replacement Frizzen

This is a temp fix as I'm considering getting a Transitional Kentucky and Davis Jager lock setup from Pecatonica and mount the rest of the H&A hardware on it some time in the future. Funds allowing of course. We've also figured out a classic or late ketland lock can be mounted on a Pedersoli...

    Replacement Frizzen

Some of you may remember I broke the frizzen on my H&A Minuteman a while back. I had put it to the side while I focused on other projects building "unmentionables". I finally sent pictures and measurements to Track and they recommended using the Late Ketland frizzen. It arrived the other day...

Colonial American recipes that are common today

Many different types of bread with rye bread (often mixed with cornmeal) one of the primary breads. (I would have starved I hate cornmeal anything.......) Of course a wide variety of cheeses with cheddar or cheddar like cheeses being the most prevalent.

    WANTED WTB Ketland Flintlock

Looking for either a Classic or a Late Ketland lock. Prefer the Late lock as the fit is better to replace the Numrich lock on my H&A Minuteman. Yes I know Track has the late lock available but figured I check here first, see if anyone has one they want to part with.

Black paint on late 16th century - mid 17th century muskets.

Torn between filling and painting the stock with Mars Brown (oil based), a very popular color back then or forking out the money and putting a real stock on it. Decisions, decisions.........

where to find sabots and a musket nipple in Canada?

Haven't a clue, never used them and actually had to look them up (sabots) to see what they were. Guess I'm too much of a traditionalist muzzleloader.

Black paint on late 16th century - mid 17th century muskets.

Don't know if you remember when I posted the pictures of my Pedersoli Pennsylvania rifle with the butchered first try carving I did on it. I've occasionally mulled over how to fix it on the cheap and finally remembered this thread. Currently thinking about filling the scroll work then painting...

    WITHDRAWN CVA 45 cal (withdrawn)

Not bad but per the rules you need to include a sheet of paper/cardboard, etc with your forum name and today's date with one of the pictures with the gun in it.
