    Dixie Gun Works Flintlock pistols

Even if they been Ultra-High Tower pistols.....200 clams for two of 'em? Even the Ultra-Highs basically worked out of the box.

    Traditions crockett kit arrived

Yes, remove the excess wood. Plan out the lines twice, remove once.

Drill your touch hole out to 1/16" of an inch. Pedersoli touch holes are rather small. It's easy to do. Should make a world of difference in ignition speed. A good quality bit is cheap at the local hardware store. Go slow.

    Investarms Hawken hammer position

I'll also add that if you insist on a stainless nipple, TOTW part#RLGP-S is the proper stainless nipple for your gun.

    Investarms Hawken hammer position

@alde I think you have the wrong nipple installed. Investarms over the years changed overall nipple length. I found this out on my 3 Investarm/Lyman's. I used this nipple- (I primarily use Treso nipples). You need the new style. #11-50-66

    Original Trade Gun/Fowler barrel profile?

Fair enough. I have several books detailing trade arms. Most have detailed pictures. Without digging them out, now that I really think about it, I think you are right.

Without trying to find your original post detailing the problems with your Scout, would you provide a link to that post OR just simply detail the actual problems you are having. I honestly don't remember ALL of the problems you were having. Maybe we can help? Most problems with production gun...

    Dixie Gun Works Flintlock pistols

Stronger man than me. Had they been serviceable and at an attractive or at least fair price........would of been mine.

    Original Trade Gun/Fowler barrel profile?

@Notchy Bob What's wrong with turtle front sights? Legitimate question.

That's how I feel myself. I own handmade customs that cost thousands. Pedersolis that were several hundred to a thousand plus. Lymans that were a few hundred dollars. T/C's that were a few hundred. Traditions that were a couple hundred or so. And CVA's that were FREE. All are welcome and enjoyed...

    Original Trade Gun/Fowler barrel profile?

Maybe make barrels from something other than 12L14? My Pedersoli Indian Trade Musket has a wall thickness at the muzzle of .1012" Pedersoli makes their barrels from chromoly steel. Usually 4140 or 4150. How thick is the wall thickness on a Colerain or Rice fowler? I have a Colerain barreled...

The Traditions Tennessee rifles ARE NICE. I'm kicking myself for not buying one new when I had the chance. I know a couple of folks with 'em. 1 flint, 1 cap. They like them VERY much.

Really? The Pedersoli Dixie Cub and Pedersoli Scout (basically the same rifle) are extremely popular informal target rifles and they make fine hunting carbines. I watched you bash Pedersoli over your Scout for a while now. You either got a lemon or how should I put this politely........let's...

I have no issue with old CVA's or Tradition's. Might not be the prettiest, but usually reliable and cost effective.

    Wanted ff and fff

To be honest I've grown tired of trying to help others here find powder and caps. Only to hear whining about hazmat, price, and quantities needed to make an order. Buy it or don't. I'm done helping folks find powder and caps and flints. I can't even get my club of 30ish people to purchase one...

That's far more reasonable than 203 WEEKS. Heck I was nearly ready to take up arms against this feller in your behalf!
