Yeah she grew up hunting. Part of her charm iny opinion. I don't have a case on hand to fit said long rifle and shed recognize a new case just as good as the rifle. No way around this one I'm just gonna have to keep it in the truck for a day or 2 and beg for forgiveness.

I can say the wonderlube has made a difference in my smaller calibers. It did outshoot the mink oil mix.

As far as lube goes I haven't noticed it making a marked difference in my 54. Other than the bore butter smelled like bengay and made a mess.

Yes cap lock. No I will still use wonder lube.no it doesn't touch the lock plate I did check. I also checked my wedge pins and everything else I could think of.

Thanks to everyone for the advice I am headed to the range now. Will shoot a couple of other rifles first to work out the kinks and then try again with the 54, but I've got a new can of powder same size and brand just unopened.

Sheutzen 2F 85 grns 485 grn no excuses conical lubed felt wad over the powder. The PRB load is 80 grns. of the same I use a .10 45 cal patch over powder and a .18 pillow ticking patch lubed with wonderlube and a 530 round ball. Rifle is a fast twist 1-24 28" barrel and I use CCI #11 magnum caps...

Patch lube is wonderlube store bought. I haven't gotten into making my own yet. Temps were similar probably if anything 5-7 degrees cooler but still in the 80s.
