New Ruger Old Army – Need help dialing in
The correct taller sight you need is Ruger part# mro3611. Midway USA current has them in stock, their product# is 516494. This is an easy swap, just have to drill a hole in the new sight. Then file the new sight down to your desired point of aim. -
Lyman’s GPR hammer needs adjusting
Try unthreading the nipple 3-4 turns to make it longer and let the hammer down (without a cap) on it to see where it hits and see if it's worse or better. GRRW CA NW Trade Gun shot pattern
On my last trip to the range I was trying out the 3/4 oz load because I had previously tried 7/8 oz and the pattern was worse. Next time out, I'll be trying the 1 oz with different powder charges.
