Looking at possibly purchasing a C. Sharps Arms 1863 carbine. Looks to be unfired or fired very little. Has a Big Timber address. Anyone here have experience with them? I’m looking for a solid American made shooter and figured they have a good name. Thanks

Yes the gripframe is silver plated as the 51’s used by the Navy and commercial revolvers were. It has some of this plating wore off the backstrap….. in its condition maybe a lot of armchair westerns 😁

The bottom of the barrel says A.Uberti and Gregorelli and the top of the barrel says Navy Arms etc. . 1963…. Thank you for putting a date to it. Learned just a bit more about it now.

Found this for sale near where I work. If I understand this right it was a very early Navy Arms 1851. Made by a collaboration of A.Uberti and Gregorelli. Uberti had the factory and Gregorelli had the license in the late 1950’s. Starting in 1963 Uberti got their own license and has been doing it...

He does build a exquisite firearm but his safety warning on the barrel…. Atrocious!!!! To go to all the trouble to build such a period specific firearm and then put that on it….. ugghhh

Nah...... lots of them I’d like to have and won’t. If an opportunity presents itself I’ll jump ( sometimes to quickly lol) but life’s good whether I ever get one or not.
