I have had I think five Uberti 1849 pocket revolvers, all 4-inch barrels. (Five? Don’t ask.) I kept two for a cased set and they are very nice. Something that keeps me looking for Ubertis and avoiding Pietta of any model is that Uberti does a good job of hiding modern markings.

A friend told me that it’s always 72F in Hawaii. But I’ll still stay in the Rockies.

It looks like you have the box too? Maybe papers? If so even with a bit of a cylinder turn ring and wear on the bolt stop leads your price could be a bit low. I like it but I already have three 2nd gen 1851s and about as many Ubertis. Wish I were a buyer though. Good luck!

I had a 1986 proofed ASM 1860. It was a fine shooter, every bit as good as my much newer Uberti. Don’t let anyone tell you they’re junk. And as @SOLANCO says, just shoot them. Or put another way, are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

FWIW - it looks like laser engraving to me.

At $275 you would have been a sucker to pass on it. Great deal with all the accoutrement and a nice gun.
